Last weekend we got chickens. Yes, to add to our crazy lives we think that in addition to raising 5 kids that we can handle 6 chickens. We are hoping that they will grow and thrive and provide us with some eggs!
The kids are so excited. When I got up this morning I found Clara sitting on the couch with a chick in one hand and my iphone in her other hand watching a movie in a princess dress of course.
my friend Holly had chickens and loved not having to buy eggs! The chickens were so funny..just like a dog who would come running to greet her when she went in the backyard.
Good girl! I will try to do one today too. Home with sick kids today, sigh. I bet those chicks will be super cute at Easter! Ours got eaten by raccoons; be sure your coop is super secure or your kids will be traumatized like ours were. They still talk about it.
