Isaac gets Baptized!

Isaac has turned 8 and was baptized! It was such a special weekend for Isaac. He was so nervous. He was not quite sure how this was all going to happen? How was his Dad going to get him under the water without drowning him? Well it all went perfect....well almost perfect!Jason and Isaac had to arrive early so they took their own car. I stayed back with the cousins. We had been asked by the Stake to have one of our family members give a talk. Dylan agreed to give the talk on baptism. When is was time to leave Dylan of course was our chauffeur. As we were pulling into the Stake Center Grandma asked Dylan where his talk was. He got a little panicked and said "I'm sure my Mom has it, right?" I of course did NOT have his talk. I tried not to swear or freak out because we were pulling into the parking lot of church, but I was REALLY mad. It was 5 min before the baptism was to start. I now had to drive all the way back home to get the talk. When I arrived back to church the Stake President was stalling the congregation of about 100 people. Dylan was 1st on the program. I made my way up front of the chapel and handed Dylan the talk. Amazingly Dylan pulled out an exceptional talk. He even cracked a joke at the beginning saying "my Mom just saved the day, by going and getting my talk I left at home, Thanks Mom"

The day ended up beautifully! I was just upset because our family did not get to have a picture of our family together before the baptism with Isaac. This is the sorry excuse of a photo Zach took on our way to the font in the hall. I did not even get one with my eyes open!? Mom's worry about the craziest things???
Isaac chose to have hos special baptism dinner at Sizzler. It was ALL he could talk about the week before. Nothing beats the Siz!

Since this was such a special day we saved Isaac's birthday cake for when all our Family was in town. I found this darling idea for a birthday cake. It could not have turned out any cuter! I told Isaac I made a "special cake" for him. He looked at it and said...it looks like a regular white cake?
When I cut it open the kids freaked out. They were so excited to see the rainbow colors! It was a huge hit! It was worth all the work to see the look on the kids faces!
It was fun to have some of our cousins come to Boise for the baptism!
We are so proud of Issac. It was a very special day!

A comment from my Dad!
Sara,
Thanks for the photos, Actually, I see how very, very busy a household you manage. It's seems impossible, but then I remember back when at Camilla's age, if you were not taking care of Mom's house you were @ Barkers taking care of them. All that early training. You're a great mother, Sara. I see it reflected clearly in your kids.
Love in, Love out.

From Uncle Ben:

Isaac

I am so proud of you. Kristie and I were very sad to have not been able to attend your baptism. What a cool deal that is for you. I was baptized by my uncle david and I was nervous too. We can’t wait to see you guys this summer and we might see you in Zion in a few weeks. Love you Buddy and hope to see you soon
