Pie 101

What could be better than making apple pie with your great grandma. We had a magical moment with the girls helping Muma make Thanksgiving pies. He homemade crust is just amazing. I had to capture her hands needing the dough. I have all these fancy gadgets in the kitchen to mix dough, but Muma said that your hands are the best because then you can feel when the texture is just right. This is s moment that I will never forget. The kids all loved the pies!

As we all sat around the table and said what we were thankful for here were some of the answers: friends, the Gospel, ourselves, Jesus Christ , family & our memories. What I was most thankful for this year was sitting at the table that moment with those that I love creating memories. We had my grandma's stuffing, my mom's famous jello squares, grandma orange rolls and Muma's apple pie. What more could you ask for.

Oh Sara, that video is the sweetest thing ever! What I would give to have had moments like that with a great-grandma, or even have had moments like that with my Grandma on video. One day this will be one of Clara's most prized posessions.

Sounds like such a great weekend. I'm so glad they were all able to come and you got to create such wonderful memories. Great job on the race, too!

What a treasure that video is for Clara! I love the pictures that you took of making the food too. I also love to be with extended family on Thanksgiving. We didn't get to do it this year, but last year we did.
